The Ideal Glass for Tai Rosso

The Bordeaux Glass was designed for enjoying fuller-bodied, tannic red wines. They are taller than other red wine glasses, and has a slimmer bowl.

The tall size allows the bouquet of the wine to develop, smooth out rough edges, play down tannins, and allow the wine to achieve balance.

The slimmer bowl directs the wine to the back of your mouth for a maximum taste.

About Tai Rosso

Tai Rosso is exclusive to Vicenza in Veneto, where the wine region Colli Berici has cultivated the grape for centuries.

Colli Berici is an Italian DOC region covering a wide range of wine styles including Red, White, Sparling, and Rosé.

The genetic nature of Tai Rosso is the same as French Grenache, Spanish Garnacha, and Sardinian Cannonau, but in Vicenza it has a specific generic identity.

The grape was known as Tocai Rosso until 2007, when Hungary claimed the Tocai name, and Tocai Rosso converted to Tai Rosso.

About Barbarano

Tai Rosso is also known as Barbarano, the name of a town in the wine producing area of Colli Berici.

According to a legend, a carpenter of Barbarano, working for the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, brought Tocai Rosso to Barbarano after a mission in Hungary.

Wine Region Veneto

The most famous white wines from the region are Soave and the sparkling Prosecco.
