The Ideal Glass for Colli Euganei Rosso

The Bordeaux Glass was designed for enjoying fuller-bodied, tannic red wines. They are taller than other red wine glasses, and has a slimmer bowl.

The tall size allows the bouquet of the wine to develop, smooth out rough edges, play down tannins, and allow the wine to achieve balance.

The slimmer bowl directs the wine to the back of your mouth for a maximum taste.

About Colli Euganei Rosso

Colli Euganei Rosso is a DOC from the volcanic area near Padova (Abano Terme).

45 million years ago Abano Terme area was covered by the sea and the volcanic activity pushed the soil up forming "Colli Euganei". Today the terroir is rich of fossils and volcanic minerals.

Colli Euganei Rosso is similar to Bordeaux wines. It is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carmenere and Raboso.

Colli Euganei Rosso is known as "Taglio Bordolese" meaning that the wine resemble the Bordeaux style wines. Somethimes it is almost impossible to taste the difference: lot of quality for the money!
