Queensland Wine Regions

Queensland is known for light and fruity wines that match the local cuisine. At the beginning, most wines were fortified wines or strong and bold red wines, but this trend has changed.

Today, most vineyards are planted with Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay.

The Granite Belt

The Granite Belt has a long history of winemaking. With vineyards at 600-1300 metres above sea level, it is one of the highest wine regions in Australia. The region produces excellent medium-bodied wines, which are world-renowned for their stylish elegance.
