Dessert Wines

Dessert wines are sweet wines typically served with (or as) a dessert. They have rich, concentrated flavors and higher sugar content compared to other wines.

Common dessert wine types include:

Late harvest wines from grapes that are left on the vine longer than usual to accumulate more sugar.

Botrytized wines from grapes affected by the noble rot fungus, imparting complex flavors.

Ice wines from grapes that have frozen on the vine, concentrating sugars and flavors.

Passito wines from dried grapes (rasins) with consentrated sugar and flavors.

Muscat wines from the aromatic and sweet Muscat grape.
