Bovale is a red wine grape from the Italian island of Sardegna.
The name is derived from latin "Bovale" (Bull's Head).
Deep Dark Fruit, Black Cherry, Plum, and Blackberry are typical Bovale flavors.
Hints of Herbs, Flowers, Spices, and Licorice.

Bovale has more than 20 different names in the different varieties of the Sardinian language but is most often labeled Bovale or Muristellu.
Sardinia's geography is diverse, with mountains, hills, and coastal plains.
The island has a Mediterranean climate with hot and dry summers and mild and wet winters.
The proximity to the sea influences the climate and provides a perfect cooling for the vines.
