Description

Delicious Carbonara Ingredients are bacon, Pecorino Romano or Parmiggiano Reggiano Cheese, egg and pepper mix.

Some add a drop of heavy cream.

We prefer white wines to enhance the delicious ingredients.

The best match is a dry, fresh white, not too acidic or savoury, able to balance the sweetness of the egg and the fat of cheese and bacon.

If you use cream, then a oak aged Chardonnay is a perfect pair.

In the mood for bubbles: try a Blanc de Blanc.

In the mood for red: a smooth and warm Merlot or Cerasuolo d' Abruzzo pairs well with bacon.
