Wine Pairing Bavaria Blu

Bavaria Blue is a soft and creamy cheese with sharp and salty blue veins. It has the taste of a blue cheese and the softness of a Brie.

Bavaria Blue is made from the highest quality of milk. The cows graze on juicy grass full of fragrant herbs, high up in the beautiful Bavarian Alps.

The aromas are rich and intense and the flavors are sharp, creamy, and strong. When selecting a wine to pair with Bavaria Blu, it is essential to consider its bold taste profile.

Our favorite wine pairing is Riesling Spätlese. Another favorite is Red Port.

Below are some excellent wine options to complement Bavaria Blue:


Sweet Wines

The classic pairing with blue cheese is sweet dessert wine: sweet + fat + salt + umami is delicious.

Sauternes, Spätlese, Auslese, Tokay or any other late harvest wines, with a bit of residual sugar, will dance with the tanginess and saltiness of Bavaria Blue.
